FOLDING
At the folding stage, margins and margin alignment are checked so as not to create problems at the trimming phase.  Small percentages of imperfection from the printing phase may still be corrected or helped at the folding stage.

BINDING
At the collating stage before binding, every piece printed passes through the hands of an employee who checks that each piece is a good piece.  At the binding stage, there is another employee to check that each piece is good before trimming.

GLUEING
For boxes, inspection of each piece is made by an employee – sometimes two or three if the order is large – before and while glueing.

CUTTING
Trimming or die cut means checking to see that no part of the client’s job is trimmed off by negligence.  Die cut film must be checked with printed job before the die cut mould is made.  Test die cut runs are made to check cut size.
