ARTWORK INSPECTION
In-coming artwork from clients are checked for final specifications as compared to those indicated in the price quotation stage. Then it is checked for graphic specifications appropriate for printing production (No RGB files, art area allowance for trim size, process or spot, fonts, etc.). Digital proofs are sent to the client for final error detection. Once approved by the client, the artwork is sent to the color separation phase.
COLOR SEPARATION AND PLATES
Film is produced with plate proofs which are sent to the client for approval. Corrections of plates and proofs are made until client gives final approval before printing. Requests for color adjustment or other special requests such as change in quantity, paper, etc. are noted before printing.
Computer-to-plate process is also available on demand.
PRINTING
Work is put to press with a pre-print run of about 300 sheets for 4 color and 100 sheets for 1 color. While the job is being printed, sheet check is at the average rate of every 300-500 sheets for 4 color and at the average rate of every 1,000 sheets for 1 color. Checking is constant throughout the printing of a job for registration, color stability and cleanliness. Bad sheets are eliminated from the job pile.
